Upon making an appointment you will need to fill out an intake form online or at the studio. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for this time of review. After reviewing your intake form we will discuss specific areas of concern, answer any questions and develop a customized plan of action for your 60, 75 or 90 minute massage.
It depends on your symptoms and pain levels. I believe that regular massage is essential in keeping muscles in a good state as well as emotional and stress levels down. I recommend at least once a month. Two times per month is ideal. If pain levels are high I would recommend two or three massages back to back to break the pain cycle, then taper it down to every other week.
A Reiki treatment is pleasant, soothing, relaxing and centering. Since we all have our own ways of being unbalanced, the benefits of Reiki are different for people at different times. Since we are usually unbalnaced in the direction of stress, people commonly experience Reiki as stress reducing. There is increasing scientific evidence of this. Commonly reported benefits are improved sleep, digestion, mental clarity, pain and anxiety management and overall sense of well being. Reiki is also utilized in balancing the Chakras.
Many believe different crystals hold different energies. These energies can be used in our lives to help with healing our bodies and our minds. I use several different types of crystals depending on what is happening in the client's life or what the energy of your body is telling me. Sometimes I use only one. Sometimes I utilize many. The energy of crystals can also help facilitate deeper meditative states and promote a sense of peace and wellbeing.
